Entry Hill Depot

Cross Manufacturing has been established in Bath since the 1920s. Our present facility at Midford Road is now at capacity. Having acquired the disused site of the former Council Depot at Entry Hill in late-2024, we are now preparing a full planning application to re-use the brownfield site to facilitate our growing operations. This will include the construction of new energy-efficient workshop and storage space, while retaining much of the existing trees and wildlife habitat and enhancing it with additional landscape planting.

Project update – March 2026

Following community consultation during 2025, as well as extensive technical work, Cross Manufacturing has now submitted a full planning application for the proposed new facility to Bath & North East Somerset Council.

We will consult with the local community about the emerging plans, with feedback helping to inform our planning application.

Full planning application

Spring 2026

We will submit a full planning application to Bath & North East Somerset Council. This website will be updated with information about the planning submission. Statutory consultation

Spring 2026

Bath & North East Somerset Council will carry out formal consultation on the submitted plans, seeking input from a range of statutory consultees such as Natural England, the council’s highways and ecology teams, and the wider community.

Planning application determined

Bath & North East Somerset Council will make a decision on whether to grant full planning permission.

Construction starts

Estimated late 2026/early 2027

Construction will commence upon the receipt of planning permission and discharge of any planning conditions, including a Construction Management Plan.
